HAYA Is A Pakistani-born, Canadian Filmmaker. Raised In Switzerland, based In Brooklyn. multi-lingual, shooting on 35mm and 65mm film, with a Documentary editing background.
Haya’s Debut Feature, Quickening, Premiered To Critical Acclaim At The Toronto International Film Festival In 2021. Her Work/life Campaign For Publicis Groupe Won The Grand Prix For Good At The Cannes Lions In 2023. She directed her first music video for sam smith’s ‘love is a stillness’ in 2025.
Haya Is An Alumna Of The Canadian Film Centre Director Lab, TIFF Filmmaker Lab, And A Share Her Journey TIFF Fellow. Haya Brings Her Eclectic Upbringing And Craft Driven Approach To Every Project.
Haya is currently writing her sophmore feature.
